Tradition Power Reserve Indicator

image image image image image image Here is a beautiful vintage 1950’s watch under the Sears & Roebuck (also known as Sears, an American department store chain) branded Tradition. The rotor is signed Sears & Roebuck. The movement is a Caliber AS 1382 with power reserve indicator at twelve o’clock. When the movement is fully wound, the small hand points to 36 and, as the power of the main spring is used, it goes back to 0 (shown in the photos).

The movement just had a complete service. The watch is in great condition with some very mild aging under certain light. Polished solid steel case (measures 35mm without the partly inset crown). It comes on the light brown new quality 18mm Hirsh strap as shown in the pictures. This watch uses a very rare complication on vintage watches and even now mostly seen on higher end watches.

Above an other Tradition watch is shown the 1960 Tradition diver, which is also for sale. There is also a blog post on the Tradition Watch brand.
